Palo Alto Networks Teams Up With IBM, Acquires QRadar SaaS Assets

Palo Alto Networks and IBM announced a partnership to provide cybersecurity solutions and consulting services. IBM will expand its use of Palo Alto’s security platforms and train security consultants. IBM Consulting will be a preferred MSSP for Palo Alto customers, and the companies will set up a joint SOC and cyber range. Palo Alto will integrate IBM’s Watsonx AI into its Cortex XSIAM SOC platform.

6. The partnership will integrate IBM’s Watsonx AI into Cortex XSIAM SOC platform to drive additional automation capabilities and improve customer support outcomes.

The financial terms of the acquisition of QRadar assets have not been disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close by the end of September. Additionally, Palo Alto Networks intends to integrate Watsonx LLMs into Cortex XSIAM to further enhance automation capabilities and customer support outcomes.
