Windows 10 KB5039299 update released with 10 changes or fixes

The June 2024 optional Windows 10 update, KB5039299, for version 22H2 is now available, with nine bug fixes and changes. Not adding new features, it improves system resuming from hibernate, MSIX package functionality, mobile device management, Direct Composition issues, and more. Also, known issues still being addressed, including problems changing user profile pictures.

Based on the meeting notes, the Windows 10 update KB5039299 for version 22H2 includes the following improvements and fixes:

1. Resolves issues with MSIX applications failing to open when installed from an incomplete HTTPS URI download.
2. Provides the MDM service with more device details for device identification during enrollment.
3. Addresses a display issue with brief flashes of triangles or boxes during Direct Composition batched presentations in browsers and other apps.
4. Updates Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA) profiles for certain mobile operators.
5. Fixes a system hibernate issue after enabling BitLocker.
6. Corrects the copying of unsigned WDAC policies to the EFI disk partition reserved for signed policies.
7. Resolves a context menu issue where the command that removes items adds items instead when a third-party service implements a sync feature.

Additionally, the update still has a known issue related to changing a user account profile picture, causing errors with error code 0x80070520 when attempting to select a new picture using Start> Settings> Account> Your info> Create your picture> Browse for one.
