Microsoft released KB5044284 and KB5044285 Windows 11 cumulative updates for versions 24H2 and 22H2/23H2, addressing security vulnerabilities and resolving 27 bugs and performance issues. Users can install the updates through Windows Update or manually from the Microsoft Update Catalog. The updates include various fixes and improvements, with details available in support bulletins.

The meeting notes mention that Microsoft has released two mandatory cumulative updates, KB5044284 and KB5044285, for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 22H2/23H2. These updates address security vulnerabilities, resolve 27 bugs and performance issues, and include the October 2024 Patch Tuesday security updates for vulnerabilities discovered in previous months.

The KB5044284 update for Windows 11 24H2 contains 13 fixes and changes, including a fix for the Remote Desktop Gateway Service stopping when using remote procedure calls over HTTP. Additionally, it includes new energy recommendations, mouse pointer precision options, and a low battery pop-up window feature. After installing this update, Windows 11 24H2 will be updated to build 26100.2033.

The KB5044285 update for Windows 11 23H2 and 22H2 includes 14 improvements and bug fixes, addressing issues such as Windows identity protection, Copilot Pro subscription management, Outlook and other encrypted email apps, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. After installing this update, Windows 11 23H2 and 22H2 will be updated to build 22631.4317.

It’s also noted that there is one known issue that may impact Windows 11 24H2 systems after installing the KB5044284 update, where Roblox players cannot download and play the game via the Microsoft Store on Windows Arm devices.
