Stephen Ford has joined Rockwell Automation as VP and Chief Information Security Officer. With prior experience at McKesson Corporation, HP, and academic institutions, Ford holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science, an MBA from Prairie View A&M University, and a master’s degree from Harvard University. He will report to Chris Nardecchia, CIO at Rockwell.
According to the meeting notes, Rockwell Automation has appointed Stephen Ford as the new Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Ford brings extensive experience from his previous role at McKesson Corporation, where he led global security operations. He has also held leadership positions at HP, Baylor College of Medicine, and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Ford holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science, an MBA from Prairieview A&M University, and a master’s degree from Harvard University.
In other news, Rockwell Automation is in the process of acquiring Verve Industrial Protection, a company specializing in cybersecurity for industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT). This acquisition reflects Rockwell’s focus on strengthening its cybersecurity capabilities.
It’s worth noting that Rockwell Automation is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and has a global presence with roughly 29,000 employees across more than 100 countries.
