Industrial control systems are increasingly being targeted by cyberattacks, which can have severe consequences such as manufacturing disruptions and data breaches. To address these challenges, UK soft drinks producer Britvic will be discussing their approach to strengthening operational resilience in an upcoming webinar on November 8. During the meeting, it was discussed how cyberattacks on industrial control systems are increasing in frequency and are expected to continue. These attacks can have severe consequences, such as outages and shutdowns in manufacturing, leading to disruptions in production and profitability. With increased systems connectivity, there are also risks of cyber security blind spots that can expose sensitive data to unauthorized access and disruption.
To remain secure and compliant, it is important to have detailed visibility of operational technology (OT) assets and the ability to protect them across an extended network. The use of constantly vigilant, automated threat detection can also be beneficial.
The meeting highlighted a webinar called “Strengthening operational resilience,” presented by the Register’s Tim Phillips and featuring David Cox from Britvic, a UK soft drinks producer. The webinar will discuss how Britvic overcame security challenges and will explore the evolving threats to OT security. It will also offer advice on managing the risks associated with IoT connectivity and automation.
