A ransomware group named Akira has claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on Nissan, stating they have stolen 100 Gb of data including corporate files and personal information. The carmaker confirmed the unauthorized access to its network systems in Australia and New Zealand and is working with cybersecurity agencies, privacy regulators, and law enforcement. Other car manufacturers, including Toyota Germany, have also been targeted in recent ransomware attacks.
