Veteran cybersecurity executive Brad Arkin has made the move from Cisco to Salesforce, assuming the role of Chief Trust Officer. With a background in security leadership at companies like Adobe, Arkin is expected to bolster confidence in Salesforce’s handling of customer data in an AI-first world, following the departure of Vikram Rao.
The meeting notes indicate that veteran cybersecurity executive Brad Arkin has left Cisco to join Salesforce as the Chief Trust Officer. Arkin, previously the Chief Security and Trust Officer at Cisco, will now be responsible for building confidence around Salesforce’s use of customer data. He replaces Vikram Rao, who left Salesforce to take on a similar role at Atlassian after 18 months with the company. Arkin has a strong background, having held management positions at @Stake and Cigital, and also served as the Chief Security Officer at Adobe. In a note on LinkedIn, Arkin emphasized the importance of trust in everything Salesforce does, particularly in an AI-first world. This move comes following Arkin’s podcast appearance discussing defending the vault at Adobe and a warning about Salesforce ‘Ghost Sites’ exposing sensitive information. Additionally, Mark Adams was named the new Chief Security Officer of Adobe.
