Microsoft has released the KB5036893 cumulative update for Windows 11 23H3, containing 29 changes, fixes, and security updates. It is mandatory and enables Moment 5 features for all users. Users can install it via Windows Update or the Microsoft Update Catalog. The update also includes fixes and improvements and enables new features.

The update is mandatory as it contains Microsoft’s April 2024 Patch Tuesday security updates, which fix sixty vulnerabilities in Microsoft products. Users can install the KB5036893 update by going to Start > Settings > Windows Update and clicking on ‘Check for Updates.’
After installing the update, Windows 11 23H2 will have a build number of 22631.3447, and Windows 11 22H2 will be build 22621.3447.
Some key highlights of the KB5036893 update include improvements for Microsoft Copilot, AI features in Clipchamp and Photos, new accessibility features, enhanced sharing, intelligent snap suggestions, improved casting, and an updated Widgets experience for Windows 11. Additionally, the update includes several fixes and improvements, such as addressing issues with Windows Hello for Business, Remote Desktop Session Host, taskbar search box for the European Economic Area, Neural Processing Units (NPU) not showing in Task Manager, Notepad failing to print to certain IPP printers, and Bluetooth connection stability for wireless earbuds.
