Lee Klarich of Palo Alto Networks emphasizes the increasing threat of AI-powered cyber attacks and the importance of real-time response. The company’s Precision AI technology is integrated across platforms, enabling more efficient threat detection and prevention. Case studies show how AI helps to automate threat detection and response across large IT estates. Watch the presentation for more details.

From the meeting notes, it is clear that Lee Klarich, the chief product officer at Palo Alto Networks, emphasized the growing threat of hackers and cyber criminals leveraging AI to launch sophisticated attacks on businesses and organizations. To combat these threats in real time and prevent data loss and system disruption, Palo Alto Networks has integrated Precision AI technology across all of its platforms.

The company analyzes over 4 billion net new events on a typical day and identifies over 2.3 million attacks daily using its detection models. Additionally, there are over 500 million applications in the cloud, presenting security challenges that can be prioritized and addressed using AI-powered attack path detection techniques, faster data processing, and automation.

An example of the effectiveness of Palo Alto Networks’ security operations platform, XSIAM, was illustrated with a real attack involving a nation state trying to breach a customer’s defenses. The platform successfully detected the attack, enabling a quick response and demonstrating its ability to be applied across all data it ingests and analyzes.

Furthermore, Consensus, a customer care specialist, highlighted the importance of using AI to automate threat detection across an extensive IT estate, including 400,000 endpoints, 20,000 servers, and 25 terabytes of security logs per day.
